Brush Prairie Cemetery
Introduction
Updated in 2026
The Brush Prairie Cemetery was founded in 1865 from a land donation by Gearshum Van Atta. He and many of his family members are buried at the cemetery. It is located near the corner of NE 117th Avenue and 113th Street. It is an active cemetery and managed by Vancouver Granite Works. Many early Clark County Pioneers are interred at the cemetery.
This updated inventory builds on the work of former CCGS volunteers. We want to thank Joey Fuerstenberg of Vancouver Granite Work for his generous sharing of their burial records.
It should be noted that the original burial records were destroyed in a fire in the 1930’s. We have used a variety of public genealogical records and sources for this inventory. We continue to find new records that allow us to add individuals to our inventory.
If you see errors or other related information that needs to be addressed, please contact us at info (at) ccgswa (dot) org. Please provide documentation for any recommended corrections.
