The History of CCGS

Founded in 1972, the Clark County Genealogical Society has been dedicated to saving the records of the pioneers of our area for future generations to enjoy. Many of the original charter members continue as active members of the group. The members celebrated the 25th anniversary of the group with a gala celebration in October, 1997.

Many of our members have written and published books which are available for other researchers. Although no exact number is available, we estimate there are nearly 100 books which our members have published. Some of these are listed on separate pages for your information. They will be available from the individual authors, not from the society. There is a link at the bottom of this page for your convenience. We welcome the addition of any books which you, as a member, have written. Please contact the webmaster to add your information here.

Many of our members now have their own web pages to which we have linked for your convenience. Visit the various pages for information on visiting our library; joining our society; joining us on one of our annual Salt Lake City research trips or enjoying one of our programs. If you are a member and have a web page, please contact our webmaster with that information.

The members of Clark County Genealogical Society are proud of their many accomplishments in the genealogical field. We have published many helpful books which are available to the public. See our listings of marriage, cemetery and other books which can be ordered now. There are links below to view the information on the books.
