 Our Chat Room regulars!

We've had several Chat Room gatherings in Vancouver when one of our
regulars comes through the area. Those that live locally - and some not so
local, meet at the library and then gather for lunch at a nearby restaurant.
Please see the pictures (links below) of our regulars so you can put a face with
a name the next time you join us on Thursday evening.

Steve sent this picture from 1954 to show us that he began genealogy at a tender age! He signs in as Steve.

Ron Adams signs in as "RonA." He lives in southern California.

Verneice Adams, a resident of Dallesport, WA, signs in as "Verneice." Her real name makes her easy to recognize.

Jeanne signs in as "Jeanne" and is a cousin to Jerry Thompson whom she met in our chat room - and in person when he was in Vancouver! She's also a cousin to chat room visitor Ron Adams through the Bodey family.

Jeanine is easy to recognize in the chat room. She signs in as "Jeanine!"

I'm always on the "other end of the camera" but this is one my husband took of me recently.

Jim Cochran lives in Santa Rosa, CA. A regular in the chat room, he signs in as "Jim." He visits our library when he comes to Vancouver.

Dolores lives in Ridgefield, Washington. She is the Treasurer for CCGS.

Carolyn lives in Kalama, Washington where she and her husband raise "little critters." A very small version of a mule is her latest baby.

George travels around the states, towing his home behind his car. He visited the CCGS library during September when he was headed for the coast. He signs in as GeorgeF

Don Finel, a long-time member of CCGS. He lives in Camas, WA.

Bea is a volunteer librarian and enjoys traveling to areas where her ancestors once lived.

Mikkel (his middle name in Danish) is Charles Hansen of Spokane, WA. He is now signing in as Charles.

Sandra Hinzmann, a resident of the rural Brush Prairie area, is "Sandra"
Her real name makes her easy to recognize.

Glen lives in the Portland area. He is active in several organizataions including CCGS.

Joy lives in Vancouver and loves a challenge in GenChat. She's responsible for finding a lot of information for our visitors. She signs in as Joy.

Richard first joined us in GenChat in 2006. He lives in Woodland, WA.

Our weekly CCGS Chat Room was first begun by Jennifer Petersen in 2000 on her business web page. We are now on the CCGS web page. She is no relation to Nancy Elder Petersen, our hostess, below.

Nancy Petersen is our Internet wizard on Thursday evenings. She's doing a lot of research on the Elder family - plus others - and is now using DNA tests to fit the puzzles together.

Betty Ramage lives in Bend, OR and signs in as "BettyBend" or "Betty."

Judy now lives in Sheridan, Oregon and signs in the chat room as Riley.

Thomas Roth has resided in Munich, Germany for a long time but is now living in the Beaverton, OR area. He joined the chat room many times from Munich by getting up at 4:00 a.m. because of the time difference. He is a descendant of the Roth family of the Washougal area.

Rosanne Simmons lived in rural Vancouver and is "Rosanne." We sadly announce her death May 27, 2005. She will be missed.

Rex Tauscher lives in Washington state and signs into the chat room as REXT. This is a self-portrait - nice job Rex!

He signs in as "jerryt" in the chatroom. Jerry lived in Texas for a long time and joined us from there. He now resides in Colorado.

Susan lives in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She is trying to find information on her McKee ancestors.
